What to expect at your appointment...
- Appointments last approximately one hour.
- Wear or bring comfortable clothing.
- If you have oral facial, neck or shoulder pain your upper back will be examined. Avoid T-back bras that cover the spine. A tank top/camisole works well. Wear a light jacket/sweatshirt over top for comfort.
- If you have a hip or leg problem wear or bring shorts.
- If you have a low back problem wear or bring stretch pants or shorts.
- If your hair is long, bring a clip or hair band.
- Expect to feel better!
Do I need a referral?
- We welcome referrals from other care providers, but NO referral is necessary for PT in North Carolina
- If the therapist determines that other intervention is warranted, you will be referred to an appropriate provider
- Physical Therapy Experts proudly partners with medical doctors, dentists, surgeons and other clinicians in order to provide you with the best possible comprehensive care
How many visits will I need?
- The number of visits depends on your condition, your response to treatment, and your follow-through with a home program
- Unlike many settings, most of our patients only require a few concentrated visits to achieve their goals
- Some patients greatly benefit from even 1 visit as individual treatment is administered based on the evaluation and includes patient education in self-care
- Generally, the longer a person has had a problem, the longer the time required to solve it
